Princess Diana's brother receives stark warning: 'He ruins his credibility'

A royal expert has claimed that Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer ruins his credibility with ‘unproven accusations’ in the book about Diana.

Taking to Instagram, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared his photo with Earl Spencer’s book saying, “I can assure the doubters below that I have read the Swan Song. The passages which describe his & Diana’s childhood, his ancestry and also the Funeral and how he crafted his speech, much of this is fascinating.”

Fitzwilliams continued, “He ruins his credibility with unproven accusations which are deliberately sensational, errors & bizarre passages including the valet story.”

The royal expert also advised Earl Spencer, “He should donate all earnings to the Diana Award.”

Richard Fitzwilliams remarks came two days after Diana’s brother issued an 'apology' to Piers Morgan after the journalist threatened him of taking legal action against him and his publishers over 'demonstrable lies'.

Piers Morgan also confirmed an apology from Earl Spencer for his ‘defamatory lies.’

Morgan took to X, formerly Twitter handle, and tweeted “BREAKING NEWS: Earl Spencer has apologised to me for his defamatory lies published in his new book, Swan Song, published today.”

Meanwhile, Spencer has also alleged in the memoir that the then-Prince Charles told him following the death of Diana "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough."

King Charles took the unusual step last week of responding to criticism by the brother of his late first wife Diana, saying via a spokesperson that grief could impact reason, judgment and memory.
