Oprah Winfrey spills details of her new project
Oprah Winfrey offers audience an opportunity to connect with yourself
Oprah Winfrey revealed what’s coming with her new project.
The famous American television host has done many projects throughout her career including her iconic 25 season talk show known as the Oprah Winfrey Show, Oprah's Book Club, OWN, Podcast as well as several publishings and live events.
Now in a recent interview with People Magazine the media personality revealed her upcoming project, Oprah Winfrey's AHA, and the core message behind the experience, stating, “We’re more alike than we’re different. You’re responsible for your life. There’s something inside you that’s really special. You have come to this planet and you have a calling.”
She went on to say, “I said it in 4,561 shows, and I don’t even know how many magazine articles and podcasts.”
“I feel that it is the culmination of everything I’ve tried to say for years.”
“It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a way that allows you to feel connected to yourself, but also to everybody else who’s there,” ophra further added.
It is worth noting here that the upcoming project is a two hour interactive live experience which will feature storytelling, music, poetry, film, huge visual effects and immersive sounds at Sphere, Las Vegas, from April 2 till 4, 2027.
Looking back at her first experience inside the Sphere when Oprah went there for a U2 concert in 2023. “I was mesmerized. I was enthralled. I was excited,” she said.
Adding, “When you’re inside the Sphere, it’s like being under this dome that isn’t a dome, but it’s like a window. There are 160,000 speakers, and movement in the seats and your olfactory senses are being affected. If you’re looking at the beach, you can smell the beach. At one point I was like, ‘I don’t even know what is happening.”
“This could be one of the most magnificent opportunities. You could take people to the edge of space and allow them to see their connection to the universe, and to themselves, and to each other,” she further added.
Oprah said that she wants to highlight the common ground which connects people through her project, stating, “I keep hearing how divided we are. But I know there is a commonality in the human experience.”
“We actually all want the same things. And I know there is a middle ground, where there are things we do agree on that allow the humanity within each of us to be extended beyond ourselves. I’m reaching for that thing,” the TV icon shared.
As the live show features stars like Jacob Collier, Ajeet and Gospel as well as Wintley Phipps, the Media mogul revealed that “We probably could get a few [stars] to come on and sing and perform, but it’s not about star power. It’s about the power of the people in the audience. It’s about using performers and entertainers who are going to create a feeling within you that allows you to go inside yourself, connect to yourself. It’s not about them. It’s about you.”
“This will be an immersive experience that allows the audience to be a part of the production of it.”
Further revealing the talk show legend added, “I’m calling it AHA for a reason. From the moment you come into the Sphere in Las Vegas, you will be filled with awe and wonder, and you will leave with a great sense of joy. You will leave with a very good feeling about what your life is, what it can be, and the potential for the future for you and for all of us. That’s the idea.”
She continued, “If you are 72... you are somewhat delusional if you don’t recognize that you have less time left here than you’ve had,”
“I don’t care what AI does, or what kind of miracle, potent protein we can drink, or how much exercise I get, I know there is a finite amount of time left. I know in my heart this is something I deeply, deeply, deeply wanted to do. I feel that I was given a download vision... even though in the beginning nobody understood what I was talking about,” the 72-year-old added further.
