Amy Schumer reveals why simple day with son meant so much amid Chris Fischer split

Amy Schumer is spending some quality time with her son surfing.

The actress and comedian took to her Instagram account on Saturday to share a glimpse into a beachy outing with her son Gene, whom she shares with her ex husband Chris Fischer.

On her Stories, she posted a picture of her seven-year-old son, covered with a son sticker, sitting on a boat sporting a blue-and-white striped shirt and tan shorts while sitting next to Big Wave surfer Will Skudin.

She wrote a heartfelt reflection over the picture, reading, "Sometimes it's the littlest things that carry the most weight."

Moreover, she pointed at the foot stamps pasted on her son Gene's feet while tagging the Instagram page of Attylu Foundation, supporting the cause of the welfare outlet, as its bio reads, "Supporting families through childhood medical complexities & child loss. Honoring every child. Keeping every legacy alive."

This came days after Amy posted another relatable parenting moment with her son on her social media.

On September 2, the I Feel Pretty star shared a snap with her son while hugging him tightly.

As the embrace seemed to take place after Gene threw a tantrum, Amy framed the vulnerable moment in perfect words, writing, “They wipe the floor with you and also carry you to heaven.”

The picture appeared to be taken at a gathering, for which Amy wore a lavender floral dress and her son was sporting a shirt with lizard prints on it and grey shorts.

For those unversed, Amy parted ways with her son's father, Chris, and filed for divorce earlier this year after seven years of marriage.

Back in May, Amy celebrated being a single mom for the first time on his sons seventh birthday by taking it to social media.

She penned, “This woman just threw her first bday party as a single mom," over a selfie posted to her Instagram Stories at the time.
