Queen Camilla picks side as Harry and Meghan return to the UK
Queen Camilla's stance on Harry and Meghan as they return to the UK revealed
Queen Camilla is reportedly on Team Kate as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back in Britain for an extended stay with their children, and while it is not confirmed whether they could seek a role between their royal and private life, the royal author Andrew Lownie claimed that Camilla has grown close to Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, and is encouraging King Charles to establish boundaries with the Sussexes.
Lownie told the Daily Mail, "The Queen, who is very close to Kate, has been stiffening the resolve of the King to establish clear boundaries for [Harry and Meghan]."
"There remains a great deal of family dissension about the way the King has handled the Sussex problem on top of the ‘ too little, too late’ strategy on the disgraced former prince Andrew and his family," he added.
Furthermore, Andrew Lownie also suggested that Prince William and Kate Middleton are concerned about the possibility of Harry and Meghan pursuing the "half-in, half-out" arrangement they previously stepped away from when they left royal duties.
However, the royal family may currently be taking a "wait and watch" approach to the Sussexes, observing how their return develops and gauging whether they can be trusted with private family matters.
