Minnie Driver breaks silence on her 'near-death experience'

Minnie Driver, who had been involved in a “really bad car accident,” has shared a health update.

For those unaware, the 56-year-old British-American actress and singer’s car was T-boned by another vehicle as it failed to stop at an intersection because of its speed when she was travelling along a country road in France. She remained hospitalized after going through a “near-death experience.”

Following her release from hospital, Driver took to her Instagram and posted a black-and-white video in which she can be seen walking on the road, as she reflected on her traumatising journey.

She began saying, “Paris update. It sucks being traumatized. Like you look like you’re okay and you keep saying please and thank you and showing up but… You’re just not okay.”

“And now I’m in this club, this near-death experience club, and I really don’t like clubs,” Driver quipped.

The Good Will Hunting star went on to admit that her horrifying accident has made her “more keenly connected to this profound sadness,” adding that “trying to find meaning in the accidental is driving me absolutely nuts.”

It is pertinent to mention that Minnie Driver suffered a sprained neck in the accident and had been crying “all the time,” as fear for her life took over her.
