IShowSpeed's 60 million celebration ends in disaster–Here’s what happened

IShowSpeed’s celebration to celebrate a significant YouTube milestone took a shockingly unexpected turn.

After reaching 60 million subscribers, IShowSpeed tried paying homage to his favorite Disney movie Up by flying with balloons, but here’s the tragic incident.

The YouTube streamer attempted to tie himself with a chair and the chair was attached with several giant helium balloons meant to lift him. Speed and his team planned a progressive buildup, attaching one balloon for every 10,000 subscribers gained near the end of the goal, eventually swapping them out for much larger balloons.

He initially rose slowly while crew members held onto his legs for stability. He eventually transitioned to full support from the balloon rig. Upon learning he officially hit the milestone, an emotional Speed began tearing up and requested to be released into the open air.

Just as Speed began to rise in the air, several balloons suddenly burst mid-air, causing the rigging to fail catastrophically. As a result, he tragically fell to the ground.

The video quickly went viral on social media platforms and in the footage, Speed was seen taking intense breaths and blood appeared on his forehead. The broadcast immediately cut to a secondary camera angle as the incident unfolded.

The video drew mixed responses from fans and users. One user expressed the concern, “Lol... every wrong deed speed will do and later will regret.. What if he got any major injury on head and lost his memory or something serious then who was responsible for his deeds?”

Another quipped, “Carl Fredricksen would be deeply disappointed in this launch budget.”

Some called the plan scripted, as one commented, “you mean someone shot the balloon with a pellet gun and it was all staged.”
