Was Shakira mentioned in Epstein files?
Several big names were mentioned in Epstein files released by US Department of Justice
US Department of Justice released thousands of pages of documents containing names of people who had ties with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
It brought spotlight back on big names, including Britain's former Prince Andrew, who was accused of groping a woman. US President Donald Trump, European royals and many other high profile figures were also mentioned in the DoJ files.
As soon as the names of public figures mentioned in the files surfaced online, some social media users falsely claimed that people who were not mentioned at all were in them.
The same is the case with the Colombian singer. Multiple social media accounts claimed that Shakira was also mentioned in the Epstein files.
However, in reality the “Waka Waka” singer is not in the Epstein files. Her name does not appear in the released court documents, flight logs, or the millions of pages from the DOJ releases. Comprehensive lists of people named in them have no record of her. The claim is baseless.
