Strictly star Alexis Warr ends 8-year marriage to Jake Burton

Strictly Come Dancing star Alexis Warr has called it quits with her husband Jake Burton after eight years of marriage.

The 26-year-old US dancer announced her split from her childhood sweetheart Jake on social media on Tuesday, June 23.

"After much consideration and with the greatest respect for each other, Jake and I have made the decision to separate," she penned on Instagram.

Alexis further wrote, "Whilst this hasn't been an easy decision, it has been reached with a huge amount of love and we're each other's biggest cheerleaders."

"We won't be commenting on this further and kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this life change together," she continued.

Addressing her fans, the professional dancer concluded, "Thank you, as always, for your support."

This split comes just seven months after the couple celebrated their seven-year wedding anniversary.

Marking the major milestone, Alexis penned on Instagram, "Happy anniversary to the absolute love of my life. 7 years of being your wife has been an absolute privilege."

"I'm so incredibly lucky and grateful to be loved by you. Can't wait to see what more memories we unlock this year," she added.

For those unversed, Alexis tied the knot with Jake  in 2018.
