King Charles presents honours at Windsor Castle

King Charles presented honors at an investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, said a statement.

According to the statement, some of the recipients included Georgina Stanway MBE for services to association football,  Katherine Scriver-Brunt OBE for services to women’s cricket and to the community in Yorkshire,  Dame Amanda Pritchard for her contribution to the National Health Service and  Anne Reid CBE for services to drama.

The royal family also shared some pictures of King Charles and the recipients from the ceremony on social media.

The recipients were named in King Charles's New Year honours list that includes more than 1,157 people in politics, sport, the arts or community servic.

The New Year honours, which have been awarded since at least 1890, aim to recognise not just well-known figures but people who have contributed to national life through often unsung work over many years.
