Actor Giancarlo Esposito, known for his role in Breaking Bad, has embraced Islam during his stay in Saudi Arabia, according to Saudi Gazette.

 The "Breaking Bad" star, who played drug lord Gus Fring converted after spending time in Saudi Arabia while working on an entertainment project and interacting closely with members of the Muslim community.

Citing General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh, the publication reported Esposito recited the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, and joined members of a production team in prayer at a mosque in Morocco.

The actor, who has enjoyed a decades-long career in film and television, is widely recognized for his performances in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian, and several Hollywood productions. 

His role as Gus Fring earned him international acclaim and multiple award nominations.
