King Charles 'genuine personal sadness' comes to light after olive branch to Prince Harry

Royal insiders have exposed King Charles ‘genuine personal sadness’ amid claims Prince Harry is returning to Britain with his family.

Harry is bringing his wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet to UK next month after an olive branch from King Charles.

The insiders have told the OK! that the monarch has reached a point where he views the estrangement between his sons William and Harry not simply as a family disagreement but as a source of ‘genuine personal sadness.’

The close source continues, King Charles is ‘acutely conscious’ of how many years have already slipped by without any meaningful reconciliation and worries that the longer the silence continues, the more entrenched the ‘hurt and resentment’ become on both sides.

The publication further reported, King Charles is determined to broker peace between his elder son Prince William and Harry before his reign comes to an end.

“There is a real sense of urgency behind his desire to bring them together,” the source said and added, “He understands that neither man is likely to forget the grievances of the past overnight, but he firmly believes there is still an opportunity to prevent the relationship from becoming permanently fractured.”

In King Charles view, the family has already ‘lost too much time to misunderstandings, anger and distance’, the spy said and added the monarch remains ‘hopeful’ that some form of healing can still take place if the right circumstances are created.
