Nancy Guthrie case update: Sheriff’s Department releases key details on technical issues

The Nancy Guthrie disappearance case has now entered its fourth month with no significant advancement. The 84-year-old has been missing from her home since February 1, and authorities haven't officially named a suspect in the case.

What makes the case even more frustrating is that the sheriff’s department has been dealing with significant technical issues on and off throughout the investigation.

Pima County officials took to social media to issue an update after additional technical issues arose during the investigation.

Pima County Sheriff’s Department said on X, “The Pima County 911 Communications Center is currently being affected by a statewide 911 network outage.”

On Thursday, the department also announced that the area was experiencing severe weather, saying, “ Pima County is experiencing severe weather that has caused multiple road closures. Downed power lines have been reported on South Mission Rd between West Sindle Pl and West Irvington Pl.”

Pima County has been silent on the Nancy case investigation. Furthermore, failing to officially release a public update in weeks; however, residents still hope that the mystery will be solved.

It is pertinent to note that Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show in April, and she has continued co-hosting ever since only missing a few days.
