The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has conducted a search in Mexico for the body of missing Nancy Guthrie, following multiple anonymous tips.

The Mexican volunteer search group Buscando Corazones Nogales reportedly received an anonymous call informing them that Guthrie was buried in an unmarked grave in the Mariposa area.

The PSCD launched a thorough investigation of the area. Meanwhile, teams discovered at least 25 unmarked graves but none of them showed any actual connection to the case.

In this connection, Pima County SWAT Defender Bob Krygier said: “The search team should “absolutely” consider expanding their focus to the Tohono O’odham Nation Reservation, near Guthrie’s home in Tucson, Arizona. “It’s huge. There’s a lot of…most of it is just the desert. … There is an open border on the reservation.”

“If I were a betting man and someone said they absolutely went into Mexico, I’d say they probably went through the reservation at some point,” he added.

For those unversed, Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona on February 1. Her family is anxiously waiting for her to return home safely and is committed to offer a $1,000,000 reward for any information leading to her return.
