Keke Palmer's view on love changed after Darius Jackson split
Keke Palmer opens up about dating and motherhood after breakup
Keke Palmer feels she is now more open to love after her breakup with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson.
The 32-year-old actress spoke about her personal life during a recent conversation with Whoopi Goldberg at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 8.
Palmer explained that she now sees love in a different way after becoming a mother and going through a difficult breakup.
“I’m more open to love than I was before,” she said of the aftermath of taking out time for herself. “Now love looks like having fun and not putting pressure on things.”
Palmer and Jackson started dating in 2021 and welcomed their son, Leodis, in February 2023. Later that year, the couple split after public drama and legal issues. Both filed restraining orders against each other before agreeing to joint custody in 2024.
The actress said her son is now the biggest part of her life. She also shared that family, friends and work are more important to her than romantic relationships. “My son is my entire world,” she said.
Palmer added that romantic love no longer “defines” her life and only makes up a small part of what matters to her now.
The actress has not publicly dated anyone since her split from Jackson. However, fans recently talked about her chemistry with Sean Evans after he appeared on her podcast Baby, This Is Keke Palmer.
On the work front, Palmer also has several acting projects in development, including the upcoming Spaceballs sequel alongside Josh Gad and Mel Brooks.
