Taylor Swift had a full circle moment at the premiere of Toy Story 5 in Los Angeles as she got a signed VHS copy of the original Toy Story movie from 1995.

The Grammy-winning singer, 36, arrived at the event on June 9, carrying the vintage tape and later asked stars Tom Hanks and Tim Allen for their autograph on it.

Hanks, who voices Woody in the films, later confirmed that he signed the tape for Swift. He joked that she should have also brought a VHS player so it could belong in the Smithsonian Museum one day.

“I told her she should have brought in the VHS machine so that we could have signed it as that could go into the Smithsonian Institute as well," he added with a laugh to the outlet.

The moment was also captured on-camera. Photos from the premiere showed Swift proudly holding the nostalgic accessory while speaking with the actors on the red carpet.

Swift is also a music contributer in the fifth instalment of the animated franchise. Her new song, I Knew It, I Knew You, appears in the upcoming Pixar movie. The track was written with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff.

The singer said she was inspired to write the song after watching an early screening of the film. She shared that she has loved the Toy Story movies since she was five years old.

"I've always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I've adored since I was a 5-year-old kid.” She added, “Sometimes you just know, right?”

Swift described working on the film as both exciting and emotional. She also said writing music for the character Jessie felt very personal to her.

“Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” she wrote. “Creating something for [Toy Story character] Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once,” Swift wrote.

“And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.”

Toy Story 5, set for a June 19 release, sees the return of Hanks as Woody, Allen as Buzz Lightyear and Joan Cusack as Jessie.
