Madonna delivers four-word blunt warning to fans at concerts
Madonna says she observes this behaviour of fans at least multiple times
Madonna is best-known for calling a spade a spade. In her latest appearance, she offered a glimpse of it.
The Queen of Pop has been performing a string of high-profile shows ahead of the release of her 15th studio record, Confession II, on July 3.
For the special album, Madonna released a short film titled Confessions II - The Film.
At the movie's premiere, the pop icon slammed what she described as fans' current obsession with recording everything.
“I came to this earth to be a doer, not a watcher,” she told the audience.
Then, Madonna veered to her recent performance at Coachella with Sabrina Carpenter.
There, too, the musician said she had been seeing a sea of glowing phone screens instead of fans' faces.
To cap off her discussion, Madonna left a no-holds-barred response to fans who opted to document the concerts instead of enjoying them.
“Put your f****** phones down and connect," she said.
Meanwhile, Madonna is gearing up for the Confessions II release, which is a sequel to her 2005 album titled Confessions On A Dance Floor.
So far, the singer has released three tracks from the album, I Feel So Free, Bring Your Love and Love Sensation.
