Jennifer Aniston shares chilling warning on AI: '900-headed monster'
Jennifer Aniston says there is still much to learn about AI and its impact on Hollywood
As the rise of artificial intelligence triggers a sound alarm in Hollywood, Jennifer Aniston, along with Lisa Kudrow, weighs in on the matter.
In an Actors on Actors interview with Variety, the Friends stars had a candid conversation on the growing influence of tech.
Kudrow, on her part, believes, "I feel like we’re going to learn a lot about what doesn’t work, and that there will be some aspects of it that will be really helpful."
Placing the audience at the top, the actress says they will ultimately decide whether AI would work in the industry.
"And I think an audience will always let you know what works for them and what doesn’t work for them."
Kudrow also adds that she does not, as of now, see artificial intelligence as a threat to replacing actors.
"And I think right now, just as actors, I think we’re safe, because young people can tell so much better than I can tell, what’s an AI generated human."
But Aniston notes there are people who were deceived by the AI.
She says, The amount of things that I get sent from people think that it’s actually me —and it’s so clearly not."
Aniston acknowledges there is much to learn about the AI.
"But yeah, it’s such unchartered territory, and I think we have to learn about it."
However, on AI's fast developments, Aniston compares it to a "900-headed monster."
"It feels like it’s already just grown into this 900-headed monster. We don’t understand enough about it," she concludes.
