Will Taylor Swift become Taylor Kelce? Travis Kelce reacts
Travis Kelce responds to viral podcast discussion about Taylor Swift surname change after upcoming wedding
Fans concerns around the upcoming marriage of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have earned a first-hand response from Travis Kelce himself.
During a recent Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, the hosts and guests were discussing the surnames this couple could be going for after exchanging vows.
Some on the show argued that Swift would be unlikely to change her surname, being more internationally recognised than him. “She’s way more globally famous than Travis,” one guest noted.
Others suggested that Kelce taking Swift’s name could actually make sense in today’s culture. “Do you think Travis will change his name? Travis Swift,” said host Will Compton, which earned an immediate approval from another guest Taylor Lewan.
"I think that’s a higher odds. Travis Swift kind of goes," Lewan quipped, before suggesting, "Taylor Kelce’s got a ring to it, too.”
The debate also touched on branding as the person who first asked the question said that Travis Kelce and his brother Jason might no longer be called the “Kelce brothers” if Travis opts for the surname change.
Travis later appeared to acknowledge the discussion by liking a clip of the podcast on Instagram. The small gesture instantly fuelled speculation among fans about what else his subtle response could mean.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement last year and are reportedly preparing for a private wedding ceremony with close friends and family. While a date has been set, the couple has not confirmed any official details publicly.
