White House announces President Donald Trump's third medical checkup in 13 months
President Donald Trump will visit doctors in just over a year, as per White House's announcement
Donald Trump is set to visit doctors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his third health checkup.
On Tuesday, May 26, the President of the United States will get his third scheduled health checkup done at the Washington, D.C., hospital in just over a year.
Earlier this month, the White House announced Trump’s medical and dental visit but refrained from sharing further details regarding his forthcoming doctor’s visit.
This comes after his last visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in April 2026, followed by his second visit in October of the same year.
At that time, Sean Barbabella, his physician, stated that he came back to the hospital for a “scheduled follow-up examination” that included advanced imaging, which later turned out to be an MRI.
He said, “As we revealed in the post-examination report, the advanced imaging was perfectly normal and revealed absolutely no abnormalities.”
In January 2026, Trump told The Wall Street Journal that he had undergone a CT scan of his heart and abdomen that was a blunder as his opponents started questioning his health.
“In retrospect, it’s too bad I took it because it gave them a little ammunition. I would have been a lot better off if they didn’t, because the fact that I took it said, ‘Oh gee, is something wrong?’ Well, nothing’s wrong,” he said.
