Brooke Gogan shares biggest regret after dad Hulk's death
Brooke Hogan reveals how she protected her heart after 'disagreements' with her late father, Hulk Hogan
Brooke Hogan recently reflected on her crumbling relationship with her late father, Hulk Hogan, almost a year after his death.
For those unaware, the renowned American professional wrestler and media personality passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 71 on August 11, 1953. He was also battling other underlying health issues, including atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
During the latest episode of the competition series Rock the Block, in which Brooke has been competing along with her partner Scott McGillivray, the host Ty Pennington came to look at the status of their renovation, but they started to discuss what it took Brooke to return to normal life after her father’s demise.
In the clip shared with PEOPLE magazine, the 38-year-old American TV personality can be heard saying, “It's kind of crazy because I decided to do this show before my dad passed, but I think God works in mysterious ways because this has been really positive and healing for me.”
She went on to share that her “family has been through a lot, but no matter what we've been through, I love my dad. We started to not agree on things and I was worried for him.”
“He said something to the extent of like, ‘Well, I guess you have to live your life and I have to live mine.' And it hurt. And I think the only reason why I'm not crying now is because I'm all cried out,” the L.A. Slasher star admitted.
Despite facing hardships in 2025, Brooke confessed that the past year felt “like a rebirth” and “it is cool” to return to TV, especially getting the opportunity to do “artistic” and “design” stuff, which helps her be “real.”
“If you need to cry, if you need to laugh, or you need to be silly, this is the house you want to be in,” McGillivray quipped.
For those aware, Brooke had “respectful disagreements” with her father, Hulk, that eventually “took an emotional toll” on her and she had to “step away to protect” her heart.
It is pertinent to mention Hulk Hogan and her estranged daughter could not reconcile before his death.
