Prince William visits Birmingham with a mission for Britain's men

Prince William is playing his part to prevent men from committing suicides

Prince William on Monday travelled to Birmingham to opened James’ Place Centre, a men's suicide prevention charity.

The visit was part of the the Prince of Wales's engagements to mark mental health awareness week. The James Place charity provides free, life-saving therapy to men in suicidal crisis in London, the North East and the North West.

According to a report, men account for over 75 per cent of suicides in the UK.

"James’ Place Birmingham is open! His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales officially opened the doors today. We are now open to referrals from any suicidal men in the West Midlands," said the charity on social media sharing the royal's photos.

Kensington Palace's communications team shared Prince William's photos on X , writing, "Marking Mental Health Awareness Week by opening a new James' Place centre in Birmingham today."
