Seth Rogen pays emotional tribute to Catherine O'Hara after 'The Studio' BAFTA TV win
Seth Rogen is over the moon about his show 'The Studio' winning a BAFTA TV award
Seth Rogen, the force behind the hit Apple TV+ drama The Studio, has won a BAFTA TV Award for his show.
But while winning the top laurel, the actor did not forget Catherine O'Hara.
“She meant so much to all of us; I assume she meant the same to you here,” the actor said as he decided the BAFTA award to the late actress, who died on 30 Jan, this year.
However, it is not the first time the actor paid tribute to O'Hara, who played Patty Leigh, in the series.
At the Actor's Awards, where the late star won posthumously for her role in The Studio, Rogen accepted the award and got emotional while delivering the speech.
“I’ve been given the sad honour of accepting this award on O’Hara’s behalf,” he added. “I know she would have been honoured to receive this award from her fellow performers, whom I know she respected so much. She was such a big fan of all of yours.”
He continued, “I, obviously, have been reflecting on the time I was fortunate enough to spend with her, working with her."
"And something that I’ve just been marvelling at over the last few weeks was really her ability to be generous and kind, while never ever minimising her own ability to contribute to the work that we were doing.”
The Studio is streaming on Apple TV+.
