Cher wants relationship with hidden granddaughter
Cher 'still in shock' after discovering son hid daughter for years
Cher is said to be in hopes to build a relationship with her alleged secret granddaughter after learning that her son, Elijah Blue Allman, had quietly fathered a child more than a decade ago.
Radar Online reported that the music icon was only recently aware of the existence of 15-year-old Ever.
The source told the outlet, "It's all still a shock. But ultimately, Cher's hoping to forge a real relationship with her granddaughter."
However, the situation has reportedly become more complicated due to Elijah's ongoing challenges and strained relationship with Cher. The pair have faced public family turmoil in recent years, including Cher's 2023 conservatorship filing in which she alleged her son was dealing with severe mental health and addiction issues.
As per the sources, "Elijah never wanted his mom to be in the kid's life," adding that he knew about the girl "the whole time – the whole 15 years. He's met her, and there are pictures of the pair together."
"Elijah is in such a bad state right now. So as much as Cher wants to build a bond with her granddaughter, she has to tread very lightly because Elijah never takes it well when his mom interferes in his life," they confirmed.
It is pertinent to mention that Cher has reportedly quietly tried support the teenager and her mother, Kayti Edwards.
"Cher has been supportive and sent gifts. Family is everything to her – she just wishes hers wasn't so damn dysfunctional," they revealed.
