Legend Mick Jagger explains why Zara Larsson has remained his inspiration
Mick Jagger discussed why Zara Larsson’s music means so much to him
Mick Jagger has revealed that he’s been a fan of Zara Larsson since 2018.
The Rolling Stones icon appeared on the Today show earlier this week, where he was asked which contemporary artist he’s listening to these days.
“My son said to me, ‘Oh, Zara Larsson is having a big comeback.’ I said, ‘But she never went away for me,’” the musician revealed on the show.
He added that he’s been a fan of the Swedish singer since her 2018 hit Ruin My Life. “When I’m in that mood, that’s what I like,” he added.
Larsson was on the same show where the hosts played the clip to her, “I can’t believe it,” she said after watching. “It’s so beautiful to just see how everyone’s coming on this journey.”
Larsson released her fifth studio record last summer, including the singles Pretty Ugly, Midnight Sun and Crush.
Earlier this month, she followed it up with the remix album Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, which features PinkPantheress, Shakira, Tyla, Robyn, Madison Beer, Kehlani, Bambii and more.
As for Mick Jagger, The Rolling Stones also made a music comeback and officially announced their now-newly released album, Foreign Tongue, earlier this month, confirming that it would feature guest appearances from Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Steve Winwood and the even the band’s late drummer Charlie Watts.
