ABC’s plans for Jimmy Kimmel finally come out after Melania Trump demands he be fired
Jimmy Kimmel made ‘widow’ jokes against First Lady and wife of Donald Trump, Melania
Talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel recently received a reaction straight from the White House, over comments made against Melania Trump, that too in regards to his gag about her becoming an ‘expectant widow’.
Now a report by Page Six has finally revealed what will happen to the prime time host.
According to them, ABC, “don’t plan to suspend him, fire him or cancel the show.” Hence, at the moment, “It’s back to taping per usual. They’re moving on.”
For those unversed with the actual joke that started it all, it began with an “alternative” White House being set up on the set and saw Kimmel saying, “you have a glow like an expectant widow. You know, Melania’s birthday is on Sunday. She’s planning to celebrate at home the way she always does — looking out a window and whispering, 'What have I done?'”
The First Lady’s call to action though came via X, in her post she wrote, “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy — his words are corrosive and deepen the political sickness within America.”
