Prince Harry makes another surprise visit to Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion: 'It’s good to be back'
Prince Harry makes a trip to ‘brave’ Ukraine in a surprise move that no one expected
Prince Harry has just made another trip back to Ukraine, all to hail them for their efforts in “bravely and successfully” defending Europe from Russia.
This time around he visited via train, right after a Russian drink stuck the railway yard in Ukraine’s southern Zaporizhzhia.
He even spoke about his aim with this trip and said that it is “to remind people back home and around the world what Ukraine is up against and to support the people and partners doing extraordinary work every hour of every day in incredibly tough conditions."
There, ITV reports him as having said, “It’s good to be back in Ukraine – a country bravely and successfully defending Europe’s eastern flank. It matters that we don’t lose sight of the significance of that.”
For this trip he was joined by the executive director of the Open Ukraine Foundation, Ramina Arseniy Yatsenyuk, right before his speech alongside world leaders in Kyiv for the Kyiv Security Forum.
The Duke of Sussex not only condemmed the actions of Russia’s president during his time there but also called them as a “systematic and intentional” war “about values, not just territory.”
In his concluding words he also attempted “to remind people back home and around the world what Ukraine is up against”.

What is pertinent to mention is that this is not Prince Harry’s first time in the country since the invasion started prior to this he had visited in September of 2025, in order to meet with wounded service members, as part of his efforts via the Invictus Games.
His main goal during the last visit was to support rehabilitation efforts for those who lost limbs or faced life altering changes as a result of the fighting.
