Sadie Sink teases new details about 'Stranger Things' finale
Sadie Sink addressed what fans might expect in the final episode of Netflix's 'Stranger Things'
Sadie Sink has opened up about the emotional weight of filming the final episode of Netflix’s hit sci-fi series, Stranger Things.
In her latest candid chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Sink, who joined the franchise at just 14 years old, reflected on what fans can expect from the highly anticipated series finale, admitting the experience was overwhelming in more ways than one.
“I expect to have that second wave of emotion once the finale is actually streaming on Netflix,” she shared.
Sink went on to explain that while the final day of filming was emotionally intense, it also offered a sense of closure after nearly a decade on the show.
“As for now, I mean, I cried so much that last day, I feel like I grieved it properly and I got it all out of my system,” she said, before adding with a touch of honesty, “But I fear there’s more coming.”
In a separate chat with The Hollywood Reporter, the show's co-creator Matt Duffer addressed growing fears that the show has been heavily foreshadowing major character deaths ahead of the series finale.
When asked, “You have been foreshadowing more than one character being ready to die for the larger cause. How worried should we be about their survival?” Duffer was quick to put things into perspective.
He explained that while the stakes are undeniably high, the show is not aiming for shock value at the expense of its audience's emotional investment.
"It's not Game of Thrones. We’re not in Westeros," Duffer clarified.
"There's not going to be a Red Wedding situation. We’re not trying to shock or upset anyone."
