Real reason behind Amy Schumer, Chris Fischer's split: Report
Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer have reportedly parted ways on amicable terms
Amy Schumer and her estranged husband Chris Fischer have parted ways for good.
As per a new report from Us Weekly, the former couple ended their seven-year marriage on calm and respectful terms.
A source close to the situation revealed that while the romance has faded, there is still plenty of affection between them.
"Amy still adores Chris, just not romantically," the insider shared.
The source also had nothing but praise for Fischer, noting that Schumer continues to hold him in high regard as a parent.
"He's a great guy and an even better father," the insider added.
Addressing what led to the breakup, the source explained that there was no explosive moment or scandal behind the decision, and the marriage simply "lost its spark," prompting the pair to amicably move on.
"There wasn't some big, scandalous catalyst for their split," the source clarified.
For those unversed, Schumer, 44, confirmed her separation from Fischer, 45, in a since-deleted Instagram post on December 12, following weeks of speculation surrounding their relationship status.
“It just happened slowly,” the source concluded.
