Rob Reiner's son Nick shared complicated bond with entire family: Report
Rob Reiner's son Nick has reportedly showed hostility towards his siblings as well
Rob Reiner's son Nick Reiner has been arrested following allegations that he murdered his parents.
According to a new report from Us Weekly, sources familiar with the family claim that Nick had "always been hostile and volatile" toward his relatives painting a troubling picture of long-standing tension behind the scenes.
“Nick's problems have been going on for so long, so while everyone is in a state of shock right now, it’s not entirely surprising,” an insider told the outlet.
For those unversed, Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, who married in 1989, share three children together, Nick, son Jake, and daughter Romy.
The filmmaker also has a daughter, Tracy, whom he adopted with his late ex-wife, Penny Marshall.
A source further alleged that Nick's anger was not limited to his parents but extended to his siblings as well.
“A lot of his anger was directed at his parents for many, many years,” one insider explained.
“They did everything a parent could possibly do to help him.”
“Even in his younger years, they really tried to get him help. And then it became a cycle of seeking treatment for him, kicking him out, or him leaving the house, him moving back in,” the insider added.
“This went on for years,” the source concluded.
