Rob Reiner son Nick placed on suicide watch after arrest
Nick Reiner accused of murder of parents Rob Reiner, Michele Singer Reiner
Nick Reiner, the son of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, was arrested with suspicion of murder of his parents.
On December 14, the iconic director and his wife were found dead in their Los Angeles home with detectives saying that they believe they died as a result of lethal stab wounds.
Now, the law enforcement insider confirmed to Daily Mail that Nick is "under supervision of the jail mental evaluation team" at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility following his arrest.
As per the sources, the son of Rob was being housed in the area for inmates who have "suicidal ideation."
The outlet reported that on Tuesday, prosecutors will be given the case following which they will declare how they're moving forward with it against Nick Reiner. Notably, Nick is expected to make an appearance before judge this week.
This comes after Nick's admission about his issues with substance abuse. Rob Reiner and son Nick explored their complicated relationship in 2016 film Being Charlie.
In 2016, the director shared that Nick "forced us to understand ourselves better than we did" while making the motion picture together.
"I told Nick while we were making it, I said, 'You know it doesn’t matter, whatever happens to this thing, we won already. This has already been good.' We've worked through a lot of stuff," he told AP.
