Aryna Sabalenka has secured WTA Player of the Year for the second time in a consecutive season after maintaining the top rankings for the entire year, as announced by women’s tennis’ governing body.
Sabalenka dominated the 2025 season in which the Belarusian tennis star not only defended her US Open title but also secured her position in nine tournaments.
The 27-year-old finished as a runner-up at the Australian Open and Roland Garros and reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
Sabalenka’s achievements included 63 victories over the season along with four winning trophies.
Given her impressive journey as she maintained the year-end number one ranking for the second straight season, Sabalenka also established a new WTA single-season record with $15,008,519 in prize money.

Amanda Anisimova was voted the Most Improved Player and won her first two WTA 1000 titles in Beijing and Doha. She also qualified for the WTA finals for the very first time, thereby achieving fourth ranking.
Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend secured the Doubles Team of the Year award. Belinda Bencic was named as the Comeback Player of the Year.
The 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko was named as the Newcomer of the Season after reaching 18 number world ranking.
