Hollywood icon Rob Reiner's longtime friends Billy Crystal and Larry David were reportedly spotted in tears following his death.
Billy and Larry visited the home of the iconic filmmaker, where he and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found death.
While police is currently investigating the deaths, it has been revealed that Rob and Michele's bodies were found with what appeared to be knife wounds, TMZ reported.
A source told ABC7 in Los Angeles that Billy and Crystal, who starred in Rob's When Harry Met Sally visited the crime scenes separately.
Rob Reiner's family released a statement on Sunday night following the tragic incident, stating, "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner."
"We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time," the statement read further.
Rob Reiner was famously known for directing 1989 classic film When Harry Met Sally alongside Meg Ryan. Billy Crystal wrote in THR column about his favourite moments of their friendship.
"Rob and I were sitting in the back next to each other. Then the orgasm scene happens, and the place goes berserk. When Rob’s mother, Estelle, says, 'I’ll have what she’s having,' it was thunderous, a laugh you can only hear with the best of jokes in a concert hall," he recalled from When Harry Met Sally screening.
Notably, the iconic filmmaker was married to Michele Singer Reiner. They met on the set of When Harry Met Sally and were married in May 1989.
