Great Britain’s Zoe Atkin won a silver medal at the freeski halfpipe World Cup event in China on Saturday, December 13.
The 22-year-old was leading the competition after her first run score of 90.25 in the final, ahead of her Chinese rival Eileen Gu, who had registered an 85.25 at that point.
Gu generated a splendid second run to take victory with a 91.75, while Atkin did not improve upon her first attempt.
As reported by the BBC, the athlete who shared the overall World Cup title with China’s Li Fanghui in the women’s halfpipe season is Zoe Atkin.
The 15-year-old Indra Brown from Australia finished third with a remarkable score of 82.00 from her first World Cup top-tier placement on her debut.
