Dolly Parton plans her 'funeral' after major health woes?
Dolly Parton cancelled her Las Vegas shows and a Dollywood appearance due to health issues
Dolly Parton has reportedly made plans for her funeral after she suffered some major health woes.
For those unaware, the 79-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress faced some health issues in September 2025, which led to postponing her Las Vegas shows and a Dollywood appearance.
The reason behind the sudden cancellation of her concerts was kidney stones that caused severe infection, leaving her unable to perform.
Parton’s ardent fans are still concerned about her health, as she has not yet shared a positive health update.
An insider close to her told Radar Online that the Powerful Women songstress has started to get her affairs in order but she is afraid and is planning her “funeral.”
The source claimed, "Dolly is 79 and dealing with numerous issues, so she's begun to plan her funeral. She knows she's not going to live forever, and, frankly, she's been dying of a broken heart ever since [her husband] Carl [Dean] died [in March]. She just hasn't been the same."
However, after the passing of Dean, she sent "a love note to family, friends and fans," showing gratitude “for all the messages, cards and flowers that you've sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband, Carl."
"So you can imagine how many people will be there, given all the nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews and first cousins and distant cousins. It will be upbeat," elaborated the insider.
And this is exactly the way Parton wants it because she does not “want people to be sad. I want my funeral to be a celebration."
"She wouldn't want everyone crying over her coffin, which, by the way, friends believe she has picked out already,” the source noted.
