Pamela Anderson is sharing insight into why her and Liam Neeson’s romance fizzled out.
Pamela and Liam sparked romance rumors while promoting The Naked Gun remake, which was a summer box office success this year. The couple put on loving displays and even spent time together at his home in New York.
"If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming," she told People of the romance.
The Baywatch star revealed that they spent an "intimate week" together at his home in upstate New York. "I had my own room," she notes. "Our assistants both came; even family stopped by."
They "went to dinner at a tiny French restaurant where he introduced me as the ‘future Mrs. Neeson,'" she continued.
They also spent time gardening, "I tended to a rosebush overgrown with mint … I was happy to help, and he appreciated."
Following the week, they "went our separate ways to work on other films," and reconnected while promoting The Naked Gun.
"We were having fun," she remarked, calling their romance "a little bit like a Nancy Meyers film. I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.'"
Ultimately, they decided to remain just friends.
"I adore Liam," The Last Showgirl star added, "but we are better friends, in full honesty. He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me. I’m sure we will always be in each other’s lives."
Pamela Anderson is currently developing 1996’s cult classic Barb Wire into a new TV series with the help of her sons, Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27.
