Quentin Tarantino would not attack Tom Cruise, says actor he criticized
Quentin Tarantino recently criticized several actors while sharing his list of favoruite movies
Quentin Tarantino drew much attention when he shared his list of favourite movies in the 21st century. But while sharing this, he called out a score of actors for their performances, saying he did not like them.
Now, Matthew Lillard, whom the filmmaker slammed, says during his appearance at GalaxyCon Columbus that he would not criticize top-tier actors like Tom Cruise.
"You wouldn’t say that to Tom Cruise. You wouldn’t say that to somebody who’s a top-line actor in Hollywood," he shares.
The actor best known for Scream also says he did not give a s**t on what Quentin had to say about his acting. In contrast, he also admits his criticism had an effect on him, “The point is that it hurts your feelings. It fucking sucks."
Besides Matthew, the noted director also hit out at Paul Dano for his performance in There Will Be Blood.
"There Will Be Blood’ would stand a good chance at being #1 or #2 if it didn’t have a big, giant flaw in it … and the flaw is Paul Dano," he said during The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast.
The filmmaker continued, "Obviously, it’s supposed to be a two-hander, but it’s also drastically obvious that it’s not a two-hander. [Dano] is weak sauce, man."
"He is the weak sister. Austin Butler would have been wonderful in that role. He’s just such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy. The weakest f**** actor in SAG."
Though Paul has so far not broken his silence on Quentin's criticism, he received support from his peers.
