Margot Robbie Margot Robbie is addressing fans’ concerns regarding Emerald Fennell's new Wuthering Heights film.

When the trailer of the upcoming film, which stars Robbie and Jacob Elordi in the lead roles of Catherine and Heathcliff, was released, fans of the book were left concerned over the steamy romance between the characters.

Robbie understands the concern but urges fans to watch the film before forming an opinion.

"I get it," she said in a new interview with British Vogue, "there's nothing else to go off at this point until people see the movie."

"I saw him play Heathcliff, and he is Heathcliff," Robbie said of Jacob, reassuring fans that the Frankenstein actor has done justice to the character.

"I'd say, just wait. Trust me, you'll be happy. It's a character that has this lineage of other great actors who've played him, from Laurence Olivier to Richard Burton and Ralph Fiennes to Tom Hardy," she continued.

Heaping praise on the Euphoria star, she added, "He’s incredible, and I believe in him so much. I honestly think he's our generation's Daniel Day-Lewis."

The I, Tonya star also told the magazine that the movie isn’t overly sexy and falls right beside love stories like The Notebook and The English Patient.

"Everyone's expecting this to be very, very raunchy," Robbie remarked, adding, "I think people will be surprised. Not to say there aren't sexual elements and that it's not provocative — it definitely is provocative — but it's more romantic than provocative. This is a big epic romance."

Wuthering Heights will premiere on Valentine's Day 2026.
