Quentin Tarantino breaks down in tears over this 'perfect' movie
Quentin Tarantino shares a slew of movies that he calls his favourite in the 21st century
Quentin Tarantino, a trailblazing director, reveals his 21st-century favourites. In them, the noted filmmaker adds Toy Story 3, calling it an almost “perfect movie.”
Speaking on The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast, he says, “That last five minutes ripped my f**** heart out, and if I even try to describe the end, I’ll start crying and get choked up."
He is referring to the scene where Andy, though with a little hesitation, gives his toys, including Woody, to Bonnie before leaving for college.
Calling the scene "remarkable," Quentin continues, "It’s almost a perfect movie. And we don’t even get to talk about the great comedy bits, which are never-ending."
The Kill Bill director praised how the makers delivered a hit third movie in a trilogy, which is rare, as they often struggle to exceed the previous two films.
"I think people never nail the third film of a trilogy. I think the other one is ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ to me, and this is ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ of animated films. This is the greatest end of a trilogy," he gushes about the 2010 movie.
It is worth noting that Toy Story 5 will arrive in 2026.
