Prince William quietly taking big step to modernize monarchy
King Charles has "taken some umbrage" over Prince William's focus on family
Prince William, the heir to throne, is ‘most determined’ to modernize the monarchy amid King Charles battles with cancer and family scandals.
Speaking to the Fox News Digital, royal expert Hilary Fordwich has made these remarks after the Prince of Wales comments about bringing changes to the monarchy.
She said, "Prince William is most determined to modernize the monarchy, much of what we don’t see front and center is actually rather critical in this molding of the monarchy’s future image to ensure it remains relevant."
King Charles has "taken some umbrage" over William's focus on family and would prefer the Prince to concentrate on building a legacy as a global statesman, Hilary Fordwich said
About the Princess of Wales key role, the royal expert said, "Given his immense popularity and that of Princess Catherine – we know she will play a vital role – particularly as their children grow and are launched.”
The royal expert went on saying, “We should expect her to become ever more influential behind the scenes, even with King Charles III as they have a rather wonderful rapport strengthened by their shared health crisis."
Another royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the outlet about Kate and William, saying they and their family are the “future of the monarchy”.
Moreover, about Prince William, the royal expert also reflected on his pivotal voice in family matters – including Andrew's royal scandal.
Fitzwilliams says, "He was undoubtedly a powerful force behind the unprecedented decisions the king made about Andrew, removing his titles and ensuring he left Royal Lodge.
