Duchess Sophie melts hearts during her latest royal engagement
The Duchess of Edinburgh bonded with The Lighthouse center's youngest visitors
Duchess Sophie visited Guilford charity for her latest royal outing.
As reported by Hello! Magazine, the Duchess of Edinburgh opened a brand new hub for one of her longtime patronages, The Lighthouse on Tuesday.
During her engagement, Sophie melted hearts as she cooed over babies and helped packing Christmas gifts.
Sophie volunteered to hold baby Dottie, gently wiggling her fingers to make the toddler laugh as proud mom Lucy looked on. "Dottie was five weeks old when we first came along and we've been every week since," Lucy told the outlet.
She went on to add, "She's got lots of little buddies here and it's just so nice to get out and talk with other mums, and you don't necessarily have to worry about the babies too much, as it's a safe space."
"Of all the other groups I've gone to, these are the friendliest people, the nicest people. I can't recommend enough," she also noted.
Furthermore, Lucy also talked about her daughter's interaction with Duchess Sophie. "She loves to cuddle with everyone. And after the group photograph at the end, we were stood by the Duchess and she turned around and had another chat with Dottie, and said how good she's been," she stated.
The Duchess of Edinburgh has been patron of the charity since 2022.
