Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are fighting their legal battle with Justin Baldoni on the forefront, but they are reportedly going through much trouble on the inside.
The 38-year-old actress who sued her co-star Justin Baldoni for misconduct on the set of their movie, It Ends With Us, rarely talks about the struggles behind her legal troubles, but one of her pals recently spoke out in her support.
Lively and Reynolds’ friend, Humphrey Ker, shared how the Deadpool actor, 49, and his wife have been regularly coming out to watch his team play soccer because it helps them feel normal amid the public scrutiny surrounding their case.
"Ryan and Blake have obviously been slightly through the wringer over the last 18 months with all of that business and are still going through that in some ways," Ker said in an interview with The Telegraph.
Ker, an executive on Reynolds’ team, added, "It waxes and wanes in the public interest. But things continue to rumble on in the background."
He went on to note that being with the team has become an “escape” for the couple, while they fight constant public speculation.
This comes after Colleen Hoover, the author of the book "It Ends With Us," which served as the source material for Lively’s movie, spoke out about the legal drama.
Hoover expressed that she is now “embarrassed” about being associated with the book because of the negative light it has been portrayed in since the lawsuit began, and thus tries to keep her distance from the case.
