Anthony Deanne Rapp, best known for his role of Mark Cohen in the Broadway musical Rent, returned to stage for Home for the Holidays performance.

The Star Trek: Discovery actor will star in cabaret/ concert-style show presented by Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago.

It is described as an intimate seasonal cabaret, with Rapp accompanied by Rick Bertone, and joined by Chicago’s vocalists.

The event is being held to celebrate "home" during the holidays, specifically Rapp’s connection with the city.

According to the show’s announcement, while his career has taken him across Broadway, television, film and national tours, his return to Chicago this December feels especially meaningful.

On a personal note, as reported by Choose Chicago, Anthony Rapp is thrilled to come back to live and work in the city where he was born.

The tone of the show will be merry and bright, and it will be held at the Joan and Paul Theatre at Water Tower Water Works.

Since it is a cabaret, Rapp may include his own songs, Broadway tunes, holiday standards or covers, although no specific musical numbers have been announced for the show.

About the storytelling in the show there is no confirmation on monologues, stories, his life in Chicago or just purely musical performance.

The performances are scheduled from December 17 to 19 from 7 pm and for December 20, from 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The tickets are now on sale.
