Chris Hemsworth had a surreal experience spending quality time with his instant family at a recent screening of his new family documentary.

Taking it to Instagram, The Extraction star dropped a carousel of images showcasing the family reunion on the screening of, A Road Trip to Remember.

It is a film featuring a road trip by Chris and his father. Together, the two revisit the key places from their past and explore the science of social connection.

The post included picture of the Thor star with his parents Craig and Leonie Hemsworth, his brother Liam and wife Elsa Pataky.

The family reunion made him emotional as he expressed his feelings in the caption.

The statement read, “Surreal experience spending time with family and friends last night at a special screening of A ROAD TRIP TO REMEMBER.”

Chris revealed how close this project is to his heart and also thanked all those who made efforts to put it together.

“This project was unlike anything I’ve been a part of for a whole host of reasons and I’m incredibly proud of it. Very thankful to everyone who poured into it and especially grateful to my parents, Craig and Leonie, who really put themselves out there with such vulnerability and grace”, he wrote.

Hemsworth, in the upcoming documentary backed by Disney+, also speaks about his father’s struggles with Alzheimer’s disease.

A Road Trip to Remember is slated to release on November 23.
