Joe Alwyn stole the show at the premiere of his upcoming movie, Hamnet, based on Maggie O’Farrell’s book of the same name.
The 34-year-old British actor made his red-carpet appearance alongside his costars and creators behind the film, Steven Spielberg, Chloé Zhao, Jessie Buckley, Jacobi Jupe, and Noah Jupe.
The Conversations With Friends star discussed the much-anticipated movie with the press, describing it as “a beautiful story” about love, adding, “it's painful and it's sad and it's heartbreaking but it's full of so much love and the power of love and the power of art and healing.”
Alwyn shared his personal feelings about the story, saying, “I was just so moved by just reading it, let alone seeing it, so I hope people are moved, I hope they enjoy it.”
Hamnet will be released in November, December, and January 2026, across the globe, and is based on the historical drama which chronicles the life of literary legend, William Shakespeare, giving a rarely seen glimpse into his family life and the death of his child, which changed the course of his life.
The book, released in 2020, received much critical acclaim and won the 2020 Women's Prize for Fiction and the 2020 National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction.
