Ariana Grande’s recent statement has sparked speculation about her future in music.
Ethan Slater’s partner while promoting her upcoming movie Wicked: For Good revealed what she is ‘most inspired by’.
The 32-year-old in interview on Today show admitted, “I really am enjoying acting right now. Whether it’s movies or being on stage or a little something here and there, I think that’s currently what I’m most inspired by.”
While fans might be concerned if her plans include quitting music, Thank U, Next singer assured them that she will sing.
“I promise. But yes, right now, that’s currently where I’m at.”
The fans’ worry is not unwarranted as Cynthia Erivo’s costar released her last studio album, Eternal Sunshine in March 2024.
Following the album, a deluxe edition single Twilight Zone came out.
It seems her focus shifted to acting as she signed on major film projects, including Wicked: For Good (2025) and Focker In-Law (2026).
She even received award nominations for her role as Glinda in Wicked at Oscars, Critics Choice Awards, BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards.
Grande may also be seen on stage if any opportunity comes her way.
“It would be a dream to find the right thing to come back to, to be on stage,” shared the American singer.
“And we’ll see. I’m grateful to be along for the ride.”
