ISLAMABAD: The selection board will conduct interviews today for the regular appointment to the important post of Chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board, which has remained vacant for two and a half years. The selection board is headed by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.
In addition to Secretary Religious Affairs Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Secretary Cabinet Division, Secretary Establishment Division, and Secretary Law and Justice are also members of the selection board. However, if they are unable to participate, they may nominate a Grade 21 officer to attend in their place.
The ministry has shortlisted 88 candidates. Interviews will be conducted with 44 candidates on the first day and 44 on the second day. At present, the additional charge of chairman of AETPB is held by Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, a responsibility assigned to him for a period of three months from August 9, 2025, or until a regular appointment is made.
However, Dr. Sajid Chauhan has taken a three-month leave starting November 21.
