Ted Danson embraces ‘fun’ mindset at 77
Emmy-winning actor Ted Danson proves age is just a number
Ted Danson has adopted a new mindset after working on a new project.
The actor narrated how his role in Netflix’s A Man on the Inside as retiree-turned private investigator Charles Nieuwendyk has reshaped his thinking in life.
Speaking with People at the premiere of the show’s season 2 during PaleyFest 2025 at Paley Museum in New York City, Danson shared the valuable lesson he learnt.
Danson confessed that as he turned 70, he thought it was time to slow down.
However, he discovered that it is best to ‘keep your foot on the gas pedal, stay curious, get out there and stay hopeful’.
As he is turning 78 this December, Nieuwendyk has taught him the new mantra of life.
The positive mindset as per the famed Sam Malone is not just about optimism - it’s also practical.
“It’s good for your health. It’s good for your energy. It’s fun — life becomes fun at any age,” he told People.
For the unversed, the new season of the show will premiere on November 20 on Netflix.
The upcoming show reunites Danson with creator Micheal Schur with whom he previously collaborated on A Good Place.
Moreover, his real-life wife Mary Steenburgen will be appearing on the show as music teacher Mona and Charles’ new love interest.
