'Wicked: For Good' director addresses potential third sequel
Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo to play Glinda, Elphaba again in 'Wicked: For Good'
Wicked creator Jon M. Chu has discussed the possibility of another sequel of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s musical.
Ahead of the official released of Wicked: For Good, the director has already started speaking about a potential third sequel.
While talking about it, he told Variety that his eight-year-old daughter has already started working on the script.
"My daughter's already writing one, she's eight years old”, Jon added.
He genuinely believes that his daughter has written a fantastic beginning for the third movie.
The Crazy Rich Asians director told the publication, "She wrote this whole beginning that I actually really love. But we'll see, let's enjoy this ride first."
The 46-year-old further stated that he many ideas in his head for the next film, but at the moment he did not confirm any new entry of his 2024 blockbuster project.
"I'd say, 'What is it about?' We have a lot of ideas flying around right now”, he added.
Chu upcoming musical drama features Ariana and Cynthia as Glinda and Elphaba. It also stars Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Michelle Yeoh, and Marissa Bode.
Wicked: For Good is slated to release on November 21 globally.
