How is Eric Dane's family holding up during ALS struggle?

Eric Dane’s battle with ALS has been life-changing for his family as well, and they are all sticking together to support him through it.

The 53-year-old actor revealed his diagnosis in April, and soon after, his estranged wife, Rebecca Gayheart, filed for the dismissal of her divorce filing, reconciling their eight-year-long separation.

The model and actress, 54, has since been a support system for the Euphoria star and teaches their daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, the same.

Gayheart told the host during her recent appearance on the Broad Ideas podcast, “He is our family. He is your father. We show up, and we try to do it with some dignity and some grace and just get through it.”

Although the mom of two noted the situation is “complicated” for her as she is the primary parent for her kids, she noted that she has been trying to stay optimistic and learn more about ALS to get through it together as a family.

Gayheart shared, “I don’t know if I’m doing it well or if I’m doing it in the wrong way or the right way. I’m just showing up. I’m showing up, and I’m trying to be there for them. I guess time will tell.”

The separated spouses tied the knot in 2004, but “irreconcilable differences” led to her filing for divorce in 2018.
