Ethan Hawke gets honest about working with Taylor Swift in music video
Taylor Swift receives praise from Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke at Miami Film Festival
Ethan Hawke has recently opened up about his working experience with Taylor Swift in her music video.
The Sinister actor responded to working with Taylor as a director on her Fortnight music video as he attended the Miami Film Festival earlier this month.
While speaking to Variety, Ethan gushed over the singer, saying, “I know why she’s famous because she is amazing.”
“She’s a force of nature. It’s easy to make fun and be critical but it’s hard to do anything,” continued the 55-year-old.
Before Sunset actor pointed out, “To watch Taylor empower herself to direct these music videos and take it all on the chin and be willing to stand out front, it’s not easy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ethan was asked how he got the chance to play a cameo in Cruel Summer singer’s video.
Training Day actor replied, “My daughter Maya Hawke is creating opportunities in my life. I get a text from my daughter, saying, ‘Hey Dad, Taylor wants your number.’” And then, they both met.
Elaborating on why the songstress wanted to cast Ethan in her music video, the actor added, “Taylor is a Dead Poets Society fan and I will take what I can get.”
